Me: Hi, it's me... hey, I don't think I'll be making it on time this morning?

Boss: How come?

Me: Well, it seems as though I can't get into my car because it's frozen shut...

Boss: It's WHAT?

Me: I said it's frozen shut... I can't get my handle to open, I can't get the key in the door locks, heck I can't even fit a screwdriver in the door jamb... all the cars on my block look like glazed donuts-- we had a really severe ice storm last night, trees are down from all the icicles and and our power's been out since midnight...

Boss: You can't be serious... it's just fine where I live...

Me: Well, if you don't believe me, I'll take a picture so you can see for yourself...

... I used my brother-in-law's gas generator, a long extension cord and my sister's blowdryer to thaw out the door lock so I could get the key in and pry the door open...
